Gas

Is gas over $1 higher where you live today because of Ike? It's $6 a gallon here today, and they are closing gas stations and amusements parks from what I hear.

Get used to paying more. Ike is about to clobber the industrial part of Houston where a good percentage of refineries are. We are already getting high winds and it isn't going to hit until early tomorrow morning.

Kemah and Galveston are already under water

Going to be a rough night. House, garage, and yard are buttoned up. Have my water, food, and batteries and the cars are gassed up with my "A" bag packed. Going to ride it out and head to Austin or San Antonio after the roads are cleared.
