After 81000 miles replaced original front rotors with drilled rotors today...
The front rotors were down to 22mm. The front pads were down to 1/8 of an inch of lining. My pad warning light came on at TTeast and I have driven 2000 miles since. New pads are Mintex red box. Was hoping to change all four rotors today, but the rotor holding screws had to be drilled out. Both screw heads came off leaving the threaded part in the hub and had to be drilled out and tapped.
Then the first stainless brake line I replaced
was leaking from the fitting crimp. At first I thought it was leaking because I had dirt in the fitting but after taking it apart and tightening it several times saw that the fluid was coming up from under shrink tubing that was over the lines crimp. So I put the old line back on and didn't try the second one. So after 6 hours of work called it a day.
