Default Best way to transport dog in TT?

Just got a golden/lab mix this weekend... A good 60+ pounds

Whats the best way to take him places? Seats down? Back seat with seat cover?

Basically, what do I need to buy (besides another car) to transport him safely... and also transport the TT safely! :-P

Seats up and you're risking leather damage...I'd say lots of towels and you'll be good

Default Take out the front seat. Works in a Roadster, too. ;-p

Default Ya, thats why I was hoping (wondering) if there was anything made for the rear seats>

to protect them... even tho NOONE ever sits back there I would never have him on the seats unprotected

Beach towels are going to be the cheapest solution I bet

Tie them down on a roof rack or if you have a roadster a trunk rack.

Default Get yourself a set of Wet Okoles for the front seats.

I have had a pair for the TT for ages, works wonderfully, and has gone a long way to keep the leather seats looking pristine.

In a pinch, towels will work well, but you have to tuck them in really well, or use big towels.

I have a 50 pound Australian Cattle Dog, so I know of what I speak. :-)

Default Four hex bolts, some quick-disconnects on the seat-heaters and airbags.

The only downside is that you have to reset your air bag warning light (easily accomplished with a VAG-COM or by unplugging the ECU for a bit).

Default I transported my Chocolate Lab mix in the front and rear seats many times....

I use a moving blanket for the rear seat and put a seat cover over the front seat when he would want to ride up front. If your pup is in the front seat make sure you turn off the airbag.
