Air-condition Vents-spitting out Foam Particles

Air-condition Vents-spitting out Foam Particles
My car starts spitting out foam particles everytime I turned on A/C. It's not very serious yet, just few particles each time I use the A/C. Any suggestion how to solve this? Anyone here with the same problem.

Mine has been doing that for some time now
like a couple years. It spits out small particles and big chunks. I have to remove the vent pods occasionally to get the pieces out. The foam almost disintegrates to the touch.
No idea where it's from. Figure there is foam in the duct work somewhere that has become brittle with age. I've just been living with it. Doesn't seem serious enough to be worth tearing the dash apart to locate it.

Vw used to have a foam on the flapper door which opened and closed>>
to push air through the heater core or when the AC was on it was open and it bypassed the core. But eventually the door foam would dry up and fall off, creating a pieces or chunks in the vents. Dunno if this is the same idea as VW. Hope not, cause I redid the door in my 1990 Jetta and it was a pain.
