Default Bolt question. R'cvd my order and though I am sure of which bolts to use, I am unsure of which nuts

got with the bolts.

Checked with Impex and apparently the strut bolts take regular nuts (non-locking). For some reason, I find that hard to believe.

So, I checked the control arm nuts and they are both locking and a bit taller (taller=more holding strength?). I have the other nuts from the control arms bolts I used as strut bolts. Can I just re-use them, or would you recommended what Impex sent and use some locktite?

Thanks.

Default are you referring to the strut-to-hub bolt/nut or to the top shaft/bearing nuts? >

the two on the top of the shaft are not the same - one is designed to seat into the bearing.

Default the strut-to-hub (sorry for not being clear). When I took out the strut-to-hub bolts, both were

corroded, one very badly.

So, I took the bolts used in the rear bush and compared them to the strut bolts. They looked nearly the same, so I switched them out.

Then, I thought better of it and ordered the correct bolts. But World Impex sent nuts which I just cannot believe are correct. I am probably wrong, but why wouldn't those nuts be lock nuts?

So, am just asking about the nuts is all.

Thanks.

Default the nut there is exactly the same as on the front control arm, rear bush connection >

not a lock nut per se, but might have a scored surface on the bottom. The bolt is a stretch bolt of course.

So, would there be a problem with using a lock nut on the strut-to-hub bolt?
