DEFCON install. Followed Mike's Fotki and>>>
I have to say, even for a mechanically challenged person like myself, it was not that hard.
Having access to no printer, I sketched some of Mike's pictures for future reference (came in handy, too).
Simply followed each of his pics and instruction and finished the project.
Notes:
-Did not heat control arm, but did freeze DEFCONS...worked REAL well.
-Found lining up the rear bush was easier if the DEFCONs and front bushes were installed first (easier to find the center of the front bore and then make accurate right angle measurements of rear).
-Ensure you have the right inserts for pressing. When pushing the front bore back through, I found a reducer pipe (I dunno, some piece of plumbing gear) and using a vise, was able to pop the front bush to its exact center. Took a few tries (and a magnifying glass cuz I am blind).
-Anti-sieze and spray cleaner made the whole thing pretty easy.
I just went real slow, took my time, and there were no troubles.
Thanks Mike!
