Would a full merger be in the future? (VW - Porshe)

I've followed this event in the past months, and a trend is emerging.
Does anyone know if VW and Porshe we will seek joint product development efforts involved with this co-ownership?
Some of us are still trying to recover and go pass the "Crossfire" trauma from the failed marriage of Mercedes and Chrysler.
