Default 9500i - gps enabled - silence is golden

was going to get the v1, but after seeing the 9500i I figured I would give it a try.

Freaking awesome. Being able to permanently mute a 'false alarm' due to a door opener or etc is the best thing in radar in a long time. Plus being able to mark a location of a hot spot for radar traps, etc is great. Check out this video

Going from home to work (or other regular stops) in TOTAL silence, cept for the occasional ACTUAL radar trap, is awesome!

check out the 9500i

They have a new version that you can download red light camera locations as well as other traps (9500ix) from their website. I don't have this verson.

Nice piece. Plus they have a trade in program to get some coin off the price of the unit.

Default I have to admit, that looks pretty impressive. I would buy a V1 with this integrated with it in

a heartbeat. Unfortunately, I think I prefer the arrows over the GPS blocking feature...

Default How does it sort through a 'door' and an actual radar?>

if a cop is standing RIGHT next to the door and the door sensor?

or, say the door sensor is OFF and the cop is standing there?

I know thats a VERY LARGE 'what if' but still...

I guess i'll take my share of false alarms/arrows to know i have piece of mind

Default It stores the GPS location for the signal and stores the actual frequency

Although fast food places and radar guns both trip K-band warnings they don't transmit on the exact same frequency. If you lock out the fast food joint and a cop shows up there running a speed trap it'll still warn about the cop.

Default Second, have had one for about a year and it's been fantastic.

Anytime I drive out of my normal area I'm amazed at how many false signals there are, completely forgot that I used to get that many hits with the 8500.
