and a replacement, looks like a simple screw in; however, I don't have a 19mm hex my largest is 17mm. Anyone else changed these and know a work around, also if you've changed these did you use any thread sealant or lubricant?

Default Never found a hexkey large enough

tried various destructive means to get them out, including a torch, and nothing worked.

Default How about the install? Lube or threadlocker?

I'll take mine to a bolt shop tomorrow and see what I can come up with in a six side pattern

Default I've "Tried" it with a 19m hex....>>

and while close it's a little sloppy and will probably crack the insert. No problem since it's already cracked...

Work on it with a sharp chisel....On the plastic. Crack it out, then clean up the threads with a 90 degree pick tool until they're clean. The hex is handy for the re-insertion but you have to be careful and maybe wrap it a few times with some metal tape to fit tighter. What you really need is a 20mm but that unobtanium..The cleaner the threads, the easier the re-insertion. You can pick up the 19mm at Mcmasters..

The VW seat is a few bucks, while the Audi one is MANY bucks. The depth may be slightly different though..

Default speaking of seat depth...

I've got one of both that ecs sells, the white version in your pic and a black one. The black one sits deeper. Not that I know what should be there... Mine came with the white ones APR IM

Default Yeah...If you convert..>

a TT to the VW white ones, you just need to shim the fuel rail up a few MM with some washers. (and best to do all 4 naturally) Sounds like no problem with th APR..

Get a 21mm allen key (or socket) and grind each side down a bit (make it a 20).

Default IIRC, there is a special Audi sealant for it...

Don't see it listed in ETKA, though. Maybe something in the Bentley?
