Hey guys I have a chance to buy 2004 GTO...........

What the heck should I do?? I just put in the PES supercharger in my 2001 A4 5-6 months ago and put the Conti extrems on 2 months ago. I know the GTO is a pontiac but man this thing will run with S4 and it is cheaper. I have untill the mornig to decide then I have to let the next person on the list have a chance at getting it. What does the AUDI Family think??? Take it or Leave it????

there's plenty of cars that will 'run' an S4 and cost much less.

the Holden is a cool looking car, the GTO is a cheap looking/feeling pontiac. personally, i'd pass. the A4 is much more luxurious feeling/looking inside and out. you know Evo's and STi's are about 30k too, can spank S4's, and are AWD. but again, they're fast, but feel like toys.

Agreed. It has the horsepower but it doesn't have the kind of refinement in and out as the A4.

Now if GM just ships the Holden over.....that's another story.

Might as well let the market on the GTO fall and own both a GTO and your Audi.

I like them ... but I don't think it will sell simply for the fact that there is way too much competition right now. I'm sure the Pontiac dealerships are feeding people a line of BS about it being "limited production" to those stupid enough to believe the hype. All cars are limited production, production is limited to the number of cars they think they can sell.

Plus, GM really screwed up by having it come out in the winter. The die-hard American V8 crowd already have a four seater, will not be buying one in the winter, and will be buying the new Vette in the spring or are buying the CTS-V.

I'd get a CTS-V before a GTO, assuming I had some sudden urge to get out of a German car. But in reality, I'll be more likely to get a used M5 or CLK55 if I gave up on Audi. Rambling now, trying to get back to my point that the GTO has too much competition ...
