Update did not buy GTO.....But
When I got home on Friday night me and my wife thought that I should at least look at it. After reading all of your post that in a nut shell said dont get it I wanted to make sure that I was not missing out on anything. I call the dealer and he said that they have someone there whom is offering 39,500 for a 34,499 that is right he was giving them 5K extera for the car. My first thought was BULL no way would any one do that. He then said it would take them 45 min to do the paper work so if I want to see the car get there in 45 min. So we did, My wife bet me 20 bucks that this was a sales trick I thought so to but I bet her any way. We get there and ther is a guy about mid 20's shelling out 5K extra for this car I could have slaped him. He had to be on dope. The car looks like a longer Sunfire with nice interior no way in the leage of my A4. It may be fast but the GTO has no class. We drove my wifes G35 coupe and this guy was looking at it as he drove off in his GTO. I started to tell him I will sell him my wifes car for 40K. @ good things I still have my A4 and now my wife has to pay me $20.

I guess I'm not surprised that they got $5k over sticker
There's always someone out there that is willing to pay any price to get a specific car. How many copies are they supposed to bring over to the states?
