hehe...was reading B6v8drivers's postessess....
the guys did raise a valid point on driver training/reckless power (the Wrx is an atractively priced teenager coffin IMHO), my freind adam (drives an svt focus) and i were driving to blockbuster a few weekends ago when we saw a blue wrx that looked like our friends, i said "hey that looks like todd" so we followed the rex and saw it was going into the ravine right by the big house with the landing lights going up the driveway (also my freind).
the conditions were cold, with mostly dry roads though some patches of wetness from fairly fresh snow on the side of the road that was melting, and some heavy salt residue.
anyway, we followed the rex in noticing it was going a bit hot into the first corner, didnt even let off the gas. as his car transfered weight to go around the next corner (prolly going about 40 by now) he gave it far to much gas and the rear end stepped out (keep in mind this is happening about 30 yards in front of us, it was like watching REALTV) he overcorrected, (probabley jumped off the gas to fast too) and started to slide the opposite direction, the front end started up a slope in the snow on the side of the road, caught, and rotated the car a full 180 degrees (he was still moving away from us at about 20 mph, but now facing us, the car skidded into the oncoming lane and came to a stop in a flurry of whiteness shone in his headlights.........i couldnt belive it... a car (that was approaching in the oncoming lane) luckily stopped in time and no one was hurt. the car was (amazingly) fairly ok, the front airdam is scrached heavily, and somehow he destroyed the edge of his left rear wheel (dented in about 2.5 inches). he also had my next door neighbor (a high school freshman) and two girls in his car. he wont admit it but he was trying to impress them......just doesnt make sense...not to anyone in this forum in particular but its not ****ING WORTH IT PEOPLE!!!
that is all
