Bumper bump after D&B today, '99.5 sport wheel issues
Hey, I had fun at D&B's today. Thanks, Crazy Quattro, for the cross posting I saw. I'm a new owner so I learned a lot.
On the way out a lady rear ended me turning onto Lake street. Just a small blemish in the middle of the bumper down low. A pain. I got her data, but not sure it's worth going after her for anything. Just one tiny spot, pretty impressive how little damage for the bump she gave me. Any chance it bent something inside?
I talked to a couple of folks there about one of my wheels, I have the 99.5 7 spoke 16 inch stock sport wheels. One is slightly bent on the inside rim, looks like it caught a curb in a previous life and now has a 1/4 inch or so of runout. The outside rim is fine, and it balances, but that can't be a good thing.
Been watching ebay, a couple are up there but far away. Seems like someone in Chicago must have one. In fact it was suggested that a lot of stock wheels like this just hiding in garages looking for a home. Anyone have one they'd love to get rid of?
