So who HAS gotten tickets for no front plate, tint in Chicago?

Doing both soon, just wondering if i am asking for it from the Po Po's.

If you street park it overnight, you will get fvcked regularly.

If not, you'll generally be fine. Watch out for the parking decks at teh airport too - the cops love to ding you there.

ive not had a front plate on my a4 since i bought it

i also didnt have a front plate on my previous car. ive been running with no front plate for probably 3 or 4 years now without problems.

No front plate. Lincoln Park. Non-zoned and not overnight. But....

I have a set of friends (a couple) that received 5-6 tickets for no front plate in a 2 week span. They had a crappy ford, but the front plate bracket rusted off. After the first 2 tickets, they put the plate on the dash in the front windshield. They then got a tickets for an improperly mounted front plate. They had to move the car after each ticket in an attenpt to "hide" it. Otherwise, he would just add another ticket to the car. Once he knew the car, he would look for it. They finally got it fixed. About 2 months later I got my ticket. I showed my ticket to them. It was the same officer that issued all of theirs. About 2 months after that......

My wife hears a story on the news about a police officer that retired from the district that covers Lincoln Park. After 20 years of service, he had written over $1.2 million in parking tickets and fines. It was all he did. I believe it was the same guy. I tossed the ticket (after paying on-line) so I don't remember the name.

Someone stole my bro's jetta front plate ~two years ago...

he has gotten two tickets since then...

first one he got out of becuase they hadn't sent him a new plate yet...second one he is going to argue even though he had the plate in his car...

so two in two years, but they are $50 each (wirgleyville)...just find a niche to get out of paying them and you'll be golden...
