I know we all do stupid things but, this was over the top

Last night I had to change the water pump on my DD .... after completing the job in about 3/4 of an hour. I started the car to look for possible leaks. I went into the house and had a conversation with my wife ( gotta make time for the wife )..... one thing led to another and we ended up in the bedroom ( our child was already asleep for the night )afterwards we fell asleep. Woke up this morning, took a shower, shaved and got dressed .... couldn't find my keys so I figured they must be in the garage. I went into the garage I opened the big garage door out of habit and there sat the car in the driveway with the hood still open and idling like purring kitten ..... at least there was no evidence of any leaks .....

HA! I did that before....

I was leaving for a business trip and left my car in the parking lot of one of our plants because I caught a ride to the airport with a coworker.

I pulled in and let it idle to cool off as I got my suitcase and crap out of the trunk. I hopped in the other car and left. This was about 3:00PM.

I get a call in New Jersey the next day from the plant manager asking if there was a reason his security guard found my car ideling in his parking lot at 3:00AM.

Very lucky no one took it...

That's OK; when I opened the hood on my car last week @ SAK, the oil filler cap was right where my wife left it when she put oil in the car, right on top of the brake reservoir. The technician @ SAK asked, "who did your last oil change?" I had to explain.
