need help bad.................
does anyone know of a place somewhere need chicago that will be able to rebuild an 97 A8 tranny. i think there is a place in arlington hights that does it, but i can't find the the name or the place.

I have never looked for an automatic transmission....
...for an Audi so I am not sure what the rebuild cost is. I can tell you that when we all cook our manual ones we just buy a used one and throw it in. Below mark suggested a site that you could look on. I will suggest one as well (see link). I have gotten a few things from them and have always been happy.
If you are set on getting your current one rebuilt you may want to contact Al in melrose park. i don't have his number handy but someone will chime in.

they have a good rep but i've never delt with them personaly. they quoted me 500 to crack my trans and tell me whats wrong 1500 for a basic rebuild. doenst sound like much of a deal but then again you get the evil treatment!
