any lawyers in the house?
i think they just want me to stop using their logos (hopefully using the words "volkswagen" and "audi" will still be allowed) but i don't like the agreement they want me to sign, so i'm not complying yet.
just wondering if there are any lawyers here i can ask a quick question or two.
""Audi", "quattro" the four rings and Audi emblems are registered trademarks or trademarks of AUDI AG, Germany. "A8," "A4" "S4," "S6," "200," and "5000" are trademarks of AUDI AG, Germany. "Porsche,"the Porsche marque, "Carrera," and "Boxster" are registered trademarks or trademarks of Dr.Ing.h.c.F.Porsche AG, Germany. Dr.Ing.h.c.F.Porsche AG is a company registered at Stuttgart, Registriergericht HRB 5211. The Monobloc concept is patented by Porsche."
Dan Gold got a cease and disist letter from AoA about 4 months ago for his Navigation web site.....it was most likely due to his instructions on how to hack Nav Tech discs.....
AoA probably just doesn't like your website.
I would just remove the logos and then ignore them. If they get back to you.....it will be easier to take it down and put it up again under a different web site then to fight. Dan was in Canada and the rules did not apply to him but didn't have the time or energy to fight it.
Good luck! At least audipages.com doesn't use the audi logo.....I'm waiting for them to send me a letter some day.
