Kudos to Cassidy Tire in Lombard and Toyo tires.
I burned through several layers of tire a few weeks ago and needed a replacement. Several tires caught my eye and based on three different tires worth of experience with my old S4 and some searches in and around the internet, I narrowed it down to three tire choices for replacements. The tie-breaker was actually who sponsored the ACCCCCCC event a few weeks back so I went with Toyos. Cassidy is a Toyo dealer and they called in 4 T1-Ss, though out of stock, and installed them at a rate that would have been cheaper than ordering online (from a site on the "Edge" for example), shipping and then installing.
I'll probably send Toyo a similar note about the importance of visibility at a local track event. I honestly would be on Pilot Sports (sorry Tirerack but you already have a bunch of my money) right now if not for the sponsorship.

Agreed, Toyos are quickly becoming the tire of choice.....
... around here. My next set of street rubber will be the T1S. I cannot say enough about the RA1 for a track tire, they have held up very well even though I run them 'just a little' hard. They get up to temp quick and are very consistent lap after lap!

Don't forget that you can get the T1-R Mid-Summer...
the T1-R is a little different than the T1-S...it has already been relased in other parts of the world with good reviews...basically the same tire with a different outer tread design...
