Grattan observations from the nOOb deck...
--For me the weather was a non-issue. As others have pointed out, nothing appreciable stuck to the track and if anything, the cooler temps helped my brakes and my PS2's were not teh suck I thought they were going to be. However, between runs, it was fuggin' miserable, I came pretty well prepared but still froze my *** off. I don't know how some of these guys (Josh?) did it who were less prepared than I.
Areas I especially sucked at:
--Turn 4 pwn3d me all weekend, that pond just freaks me out. Then Ken K. just had
to point out how Armco is placed kinda crappy there, then I was even more tentative.--I was a complete wuss around 11 also, even though you know the track is going to be there for that blind apex, it's still unsettling for the noob like me. Then, after seeing that A8 pointing the wrong direction out of 11 made me more of a puss. There's just something wrong about seeing headlights when you crest that hill.
--Guys who unequivocally prove the adage "It's all driver:" Chris A., Ken K. and Mike M., I can watch these guys drive all day!
--In my run group, Paul W. and Dean H. were freakin' fearless.
--Thanks to everyone in the red and yellow groups who hit a cone in the lane toss, ******** cones was the only time I was actually warm.
