Default Now that you've been to ABCC...

Would you fork over the 20 grand initiation fee and 3 grand a year to have 6 day a week access to the track?

Default Nope

But I'll gladly drive it a couple weekends per year for a few hundred dollars though. If I had unlimited funds, I'd join up.

Default Had you gotten in the game earlier, it would have been a LOT cheaper.

The first rounf the initiation fee was $5k with the yearly. Then up to $10k.

I think a lot of it depends on what you are looking for. I thought about signing-up, but when I looked at what I like the most about track weekends, I decided against it.

Personally, hanging with my friends and going to several different track is what does it for me.

That's not to say they don't offer a first-class facility at ABCC (they most certainly do). My time is linmited and I doubt I'd ever be able to make use of what they have to offer to the extent that I would find it an appropriate value. For me, it's not so much the money, but the time. At least that was my perspective when it was $5k. At $20k, there are a ton of other things I'd go for first. YMMV. But if money is not an issue, and if you have the time, it's absolutely worth it.

Going around a track at speed is fun, but it's more fun when you get to run in groups with your friends. I have a blast running with the instructor groups at the ACNA events. I wouldn't want to change a thing.

Not unless they gave it to me. "Too many tracks, too little time!"

Default I disagree. You are entitled to your opinion,

but being rude to Bill and insulting Mark is just not called for. You have no reason to play the bully and pick a fight with him. In with the love, out with the jive.

Default You asked for our opinions and I gave you mine.

If you don't like my opinion, too frickin bad.

I've had plenty of open track time. It just doesn't do it for me - obviously you disagree.
