who here flies alot? united or american?
i currently roll with american, but united is starting non-stop service to munich from ohare very soon.
so i was curious to know if if i switch from american to united, will united honor my status that i currently have at american to get my business? how about giving me my matching amount of current american miles?

I know people who negotiated their status to fly the other airline and have been accepted. They had to fax proof of their current status from one airline to the other. I don't believe they were awarded the same mileage balance; however, they earned mileage more quickly because of the bonus miles awarded from premier status.

just got home to see the S4. i took a look at where those screws are and the black pieces that were in trunk. the AL mirros should be here (according to UPS) by wed.
so i will let the wifey use the S4 for her small commute to the hosptial, until i get em this coming week. then i will pop em on most probably wed, then fix my damn tire, then make an appt for my final dealer 40K service under warranty!
luckily, i dont see any pics posted of my S4...so im quite relieved... =)

I fly UA about 150k/year. AA about 75k/year. UA will match your status...
if you are gold or platinum. If you're EXP, they'll give you Premier Exec (same as Platinum on AA) and you'll have to work towards 1K (which is the equivalent to EXP on AA).
They won't, however, credit your account with miles equal to what you currently have in your AA account. But maybe if you're extremely charming...
The ORD-MUC flight is warmly welcomed, but don't forget there's also ORD-IAD-MUC as well. (Which has been operating forever.)
