Got out of a sweet speeding ticket this weekend, my strategy worked:
Rolled into a small rural OH town this weekend after a long drive from chicago, pulled the V1 down and locked in glove compartment (stupid!)
2 min. later got stopped going 57 in 35:
put both my hands on dash the entire time when officer came up, was respectful, for registration told him i was "reaching in glove compartment" - - he thanked me for telling him.
maybe i got lucky, but perhaps being a little over paranoid and relaxed saved me
(oh yeah, i'm 23 and drive a red s4 -- doesnt seem to bethe greatest setup when you get pulled over)
