ACCCC Blackhawk Farms

I was wondering where everyone stays at these things. I am a noobie to ACCCC and want to make the most out of this event.

I was thinking of camping but the recent Chi-town weather has been horrible. I maybe should have stated which hotel do most of you stay at?? I know that there are 2 of them in the area but which is better..

I'd sleep on the comfy recaro's if I had to but that doesn't answer which hotel. I love the feel of alcantara in the morning.

NP....Sorry not as "hard core" as you are.......

I also don't have a large motorhome to stay in....or I would stay at the track...8^)

There are several in the area.

Broaden your search to include Beloit Wisconsin (it's three minutes further North) as there are a bunch of them right off of the highway. We did reserve a block of rooms, but when I last called the Holiday Inn Express they were almost completely booked. It's not as if there's much going on socially around any of the hotels - all the fun is at the track after hours.

A lot of the guys and gals do camp there and it is a ton of fun hanging around the campfire on Saturday night.

That said, my idea of roughing it is staying in a hotel that doesn't have down pillows. Also taking a hot shower without having to dig for quarters is a special bonus.

But to each their own.
