Big Lots Adventure - Part 2 (The return!) (OT)
I started by packing up the thing in the box....

Said a final **** you!

Packed up the car and headed over to Big Lots. When I got to the parking lot, I found the nearest cart and loaded it up.
As I was approaching the front door, one of the 3 working wheels started to flutter back and forth. Mind you, the pieces of scrap balsa wood weighed all together less than 20#. Just as I got in the front door, THE WHEEL FELL OFF OF THE CART! No ****!
Uh oh. Now what. Whatever, I'll make it to the counter in 10 seconds. The second after I made a left hand turn in the store, the ****ing cart tipped over and the boc of metal tubes went spilling all over the front of the store. Being somewhat thrown by this debacle, I quickly lunged to try and stop a few of the pipes from hitting a wall display of ****.
Nope. That didn't work. I slipped on another pipe and landed smack dab in the middle of the whole stack.
K---A----BOOM!!!!
At this point several people came running over to me and helped me to my feet.
Still a tad shaken, the manager asked me if I was ok. I said that I was fine and all I wanted to do was return this ****ing piece of ****... oh, sorry. G*A*Z*E*B*O... Yea.
Here is the clincher.
The manager said that if I had brought the item back to the store in resalable condition, they would take it back.
My mouth was wide open and I couldn't say anything.
He continued to say that this specific item was dammaged.
OF COURSE IT IS YOU DIP****! I just FELL ON IT!
Sorry. I can't help you.
I then picked up as many of the pieces as I could, threw them back in the car and took off.
As soon as I got home, I didn't want to think about this thing anymore. I headed in the back yard to do some yard work. I set the sprinkler up and watered the tomatoe plants.
One thing led to another and I actually found a use for some of the pices of the gazebo.

Ok, here is the point in the story where I beg for everyones help. Seeing how nearly 800 of you have read my initial message and I am pretty sure you have enjoyed the story. I'd like to ask everyone if they send $1 to me. I have been through a lot in the past few days and I'd be so happy if I could have this Gazebo (wait, no... Tomatoe plant stake) paid for.
I'm out $88 + 8% tax (about $95).
Please send $1 (or more - that would be extra nice) via paypal to: dean@haverkampf.com
Thanks for listening to my pathetic story.
