But, yes, service at your seat is killer.
I happend to like Beck and U2.
Shoot, there are people who like Hootie and the Blowfish.

I have a bunch for Wed, and one (mistake) for Tues, hence the sale.
Really good seat. Right off Bono's right shoulder at the end of the stage.

Nobody touches them.
I've seen every U2 tour since 1987 at least once, all over the world. A few highlights
1987 - Joshua Tree at "Horizon"
1991 - Zoo TV at Tacoma Dome, Zoo TV in Stockhom, SW, Zoo TV in Munich, Germany
1997 - U2 at Soldier Field for Pop Mart ( Twice), At Candlestick Park
2001 - Elevation Tour at United Center
2005 - May - Vertigo at United Center Aug Vertigo at United Center
I sat in CenterPoint Properties box just above that (Secton 208) at the May concert. Nice and centered, but a bit far away.
Coolest thing about that concert was it being the one they made the tour DVD out of, as well as their "City of Blinding Light" video that runs all the time on MTV, etc.
My dad's company has a box in 312 and 234, but I didn't want to hit him up for them. Save the favor, since I had great seats.
Cheers.

also, bono's ability to talk to a cardboard box for hours on end about nothing also bugs me...reminds me of someone I know...

however, I would rather see a show in a place where the acoustics don't suck, and I'm not ten miles from the show...also, I'd rather not pay 100+ dollars for a crappy seat (which you shouldn't be sitting in)...
these shows sell out becuase people who don't like music go to them...sure there are real fans there, but it's also filled with a bunch of top 40 listening $hitheads who pay to see BIG name bands just so they can hear their most recent top 40 hit...

War like Zooropa?
The only thing consistant is Bono's voice and Edge's guitar.
Their look has changed as well. Watch any of their 80's, 90's and current concert vids and you'll see.
I find it ironic you compared Beck to U2 and then say US hasn't changed and Bono will speak to a box.
I have all of Beck's albums and feel he has changed far, far less (style is identical) and as for speaking to a cadboard box, Beck is infamous for being commander political.
Too each his own. There is no "right" answer. It's all about taste. But certainly more people find U2 of their taste than Beck.
You can guess at who attends the concerts (have you been?) and why they go, but you can't argue with album sales #'s, with which U2 blows Beck out of the water (not just historically, but by recent albums).
Facts aren't opinions. We can't like who we want, but we can't argue as to success, and success takes a vast following.
Cheers.
