so gas prices are high and getting cheap gas is...
dangerous. i was dropping my friend off at his apartment building on 32nd and MLK (he goes to IIT, i'm an alumn) and my gas light went off. Well i saw the BP on 35th had premium for $3.12 so i thought... fvck it.
man i thought i was gonna get jumped and carjacked while i was pumping my gas. people in the ghetto just hang out on the sidewalk and and eye everyone around.
moral of the story: fill up before heading too far on the south side.

holy crap... I know what you mean... You can't look anyone in the eye... and always stop as they slowly walk right in your path.
I avoid driving in that area whenever possible..
