Chicago rocks.
After about a month here, I think can safely say that this city kicks freaking ***. All the benefits of a big city, but its still immensely approachable. Great food (I had sushi at Sai Cafe a couple nights ago, easily the best I've had), friendly people.
I miss my car and the mountains. With the price of gas and parking I'm actually glad that I don't have a car, though. I thought I'd quit my photography hobby if I didn't have the outdoors around but the city has provided some fantastic opportunities.
I'm already on the prowl for new housing- Gold Coast is proving far too rich for my blood (and my bank account). Any suggestions if the only requirements are an easy commute to Chicago Av and Lake Shore Dr and safety (for teh gf)?
Anyhow, here's my latest take on the city. I shot it last week on a night with really eerie cloud movement.
