Damn Sox, hang in there!!! Assuming they make the playoffs, I sure hope it's not another Y2K....
White Sox swept out after 95-win season
CHICAGO (AP) -- The Chicago White Sox won more games than any team in the American League, had the highest-scoring offense in the majors. They took over first place in the AL Central in mid-April and stayed there all season.
None of that mattered in the playoffs.
They were swept away in three games by the Seattle Mariners, not because their sore-armed pitching staff let them down but because they couldn't maintain the offense they generated during a 95-victory season.
As much as I'm a Cub fan, it would be nice to see a Chicago team have a happy ending, and I don't mean a Vegas happy ending.
You Sox fans must really be pulling for the Bears right about now!
