is chicago a fun place for New Years?

i've been to chicago before and liked it a lot. i plan to go back sometime before the year ends and was considering New Years.

like any major city there is always something fun to do..If you are looking for a good New Years

spot...Try Vegas....even if you dont like Vegas, New Years is unbelieveable there...and this year they are celebrating their 100 year anniversary so it will be even more insane...if you like that kind of atmosphere...Plus the weather is perfect...Chicago can be cold, snowy and nasty

No, it's a rip off. Unless you spend a mint to go somewhere it will also be packed beyond comfort.

Vegas is alright on New Years...

IMHO, there are too many damn people there over new years...fun once, but I don't know if I'd plan on going back there for new years again...

the most discouraging thing is that it's really tough to get a "good" game when there are so many people there...if you want to play blackjack, you'll have to play with three or four other people...and becuase of that you can't win, so you might as well donate your money to the casino...

but I will say that if you don't care about gambling, it's pretty cool becuase the "beer flows like wine", and there are a ton of "beautiful babies"...

I threw a pretty kick *** party last year.

my friend owns some restaurant property. The place that was in there was closed for about 2 months. We went in there, hired an entire crew for cooking cleaning. Had bartender, bar backs, waiters/waitresess. A few people at the doors. It was nice. All for $40. All you can eat/drink/party.

yeah I try and stay away from gambling around New years there

it is a joke to get a good game...Im normally in alchohol induced coma at new years anyway...not a good state to be in when gambling for me! lol
