Default RANT.................

Had the TT to the dealer on Ogden and while the service advisor there is great (JF), I continue to be very umimpressed with the tech (K) that works on my TT. At every opportunity, it's "will not work on due to aftermarket", or "fault is caused by aftermarket". Arrrrrggggh.

TT has an ongoing CEL issue for MAF sensor. I have replaced the MAF, new air filter, etc., but still have the CEL. Take the TT in today and have stock airbox and MAF installed, but the tech would not work on it claiming aftermarket intake, AND, did not clear the code. I had to stop at Autozone on my way home.

Furthermore, my gas gauge has started to read between 3/4 full and full and bounces in between. The TT only holds a little over 15 gallons of gas. I tell them that there is a problem. Tech puts 7+ gallons of gas in the TT and says the gauge works fine. Hmmmmm, let see, if the TT could hold 7 gallons for every quarter tank, wouldn't that be more like 28 gallons.

I also have them do the oil service with my M1. I look under the car and only find about half the screws holding the belly pan. Wouldn't you think a decent tech would go get 5 more screws in put in the pan?

JF is great. The dealership is on my way to work, and they always give me a car and get me in quickly, but gosh are they testing me now.

On the positive side, they have taken me on emergency basis too.

Very frustrating.

I just get tired of the immediate - 'you caused it from the tech'

Default I've been there...as I'm sure many others have too.

Once they know you got mods, it is a battle to get warranty work. Granted, I understand their point-of-view but they take it overboard sometimes.
