Default Thanks to everyone that was out autoxing yesterday! It was a great time! <Results>

This season was our best yet. We had great events at the Tire Rack and we all owe a great deal of thanks to Luke for that. We also moved from Joliet Junior College to Maywood Park, a step up in size, but also price. Thanks to all of you though, we were able to run our largest events EVER (over 60 cars at a couple!) and STILL got in 8 runs MINIMUM, if not way more! Those of you who missed yesterday missed a 14 run day!

Overall, I would like to thank those that put time and effort into making this run, as it isn't just bill and I. Bob H, David P, Marko, Mike Wit, Eric R, just to name a few were always there to help, even if they didn't always participate. We couldn't have done it otherwise.

And of course all of you guys for participating! It makes our day's more fun to have more people out there, and thus we always had lots of fun.

Next year will be bigger and better. Plans include an onsite printer so times will be easier to see in real time. We will also have the light board working again for that oh so sweet instant gratification.

oh, and the results are up....

Default Byran is sooooo correct. There are lot's of "regulars" that help our events run smoothly.

And honestly, it would be difficult - if not impossible to have a good season without their contributions.

We are always looking for members that want to step-up and become more involved with the club. Although it does require a bit of time, it's very rewarding to see all the smiling faces of participants and to know that you had something to do with the success of the events.

So if you are interested in helping out, shoot me an e-mail. We'll invite you to planning meetings and you will have an active "say" in how things are done.

Default And a few other things...

like a tube frame and a total weight just south of 2,000#.

5.7L V-8 - carbureted - old skool style. The thing had so much torque, he started in 2nd and kept it there. On his best run, he bogged a bit off the line and still had a great time.

And Hoosiers that were wider than they were tall.

I think that instead of springs / struts he just had a steel bar welded in. Well just kidding on that part, but it had ZERO body lean in the corners.

I heard dry weight of 1600#, and 380 HP to the wheels. That'll do it!

Default well...

bone stock... er...

fiberglass shell over a tube chassis. 5.7l V8 sitting low and DIRECTLY behind the driver/passenger seats, custom gear ratios, 15+ inch wide hoosiers out back (the gap BETWEEN the tires was less than the width of 1 tire), carbed, no glass (windshield, side windows, etc), about 1 inch off the ground, trailered in (obviously), with driver and wet, about 2,000#, carbed, corner balanced, suspension set up, etc.

He goes to the runoffs each year.

He is planning on adding a supercharger this winter.
