i suppose in some circles these wheels are played out on the dub scene, but i've always loved the look and like the bit-0-lip they got goin on.

they definitely need a repolishing, but i'll get to that over the winter. i also plan on swapping out the valve stems for some chrome ones.

it's like christmas come early!!! now i can't wait to get this bad boy off to the body shop for the real transformation. we'll probably see it back in the spring. i'll probably be asking for some help installing the garage full of parts on it at that point

you are going to swap out the center caps, yes?

 

get some custom Farfegnuegen or Fuquengruvin caps they're easy to make.

 

the vw modding scene is completely different than the audi scene, especially with the older models. it actually would be kind of cool putting some vw logos in the center, but i'd have to find ones that fit. either way, i don't have a problem rockin the porsche ones. i mean, they are porsche wheels.

since the car is going to be black (isn't it?) it will add some nice detail...

did you get adapters already? are you 5x100 or 4x100?

 

haven't seen too many cars running color ones and they do have a lot more detail vs the other ones. but OTOH, i'd need 3 more color vs one more black one, you know?
no, i'm looking for adapters right now. the guy i bought them from had them on his mk3 vr6, so he was 5x100. i'm looking for some 25mm 4x100 adapters now.
as far as when it's off to the body shop.... thanksgiving? christmas? something like that. when DW slows down a bit there will be more time to finish up tuning the engine.
