BBS RX 18x8. Back from Wheels America refinishing. Anyone interested in buying before I mount tires?
Took my 18x8 BBS RX wheels (BBS RX207) to Wheels America to have one straightened. It had a slight bend on the inner lip that was causing a vibration, but not so bad you could see it with your naked eye- showed up on a Road Force machine. Decided to have them refinish all 4 wheels- powder coated bright silver metallic with clear coat. Ramone and the gang did beautiful work!
Before I mount then with tires, is anyone interested in buying them fresh from refinishing? It's my 4th set of wheels and I think I'm going to thin the stockpile a bit, but can't decide which ones to get rid of. Thought I'd put the feelers out on these before they get dirty.
Otherwise they go on the allroad this Friday.

Two questions...how much was the refinishing and how have you liked the RS6 reproductions, I am
thinking of getting some (in 19") for my RS6 but even the Hartmann folks told me they are soft and bending is inevitable. How have yours held up on our lovely roads? I actually want to get the Hartmann wheels and have them refinished to match the titanium RS6+ finish that is available in Europe hence the price question on the refinishing.

The Hartmann wheels have held up well (I have 2 sets); refinishing was $129...
But that included stripping and powdercoating. It also included straightening if necessary. I think it's a great deal if you have a bent wheel especially. I saw some of the other wheels they had just refinished including some Fikse's they powdercoated black and a set of 20x10 Avus 3 piece wheels too.
If you're going to be at the track event this weekend, you can check out the Hartman's. I have the 18's for the summer and 17's for winter. Haven't bent one yet and the allroad is a heavy car. I think I probably have 12,000 miles on the 18's. They aren't light though. And Bill's customer service at Hartmann is second to none.

Did I tell you I am insane...yes, showing up Friday, couldn't resist the
price, $900 delivered for 4 OEM 18s perfect with center caps and pretty much new Pirelli P zero summer tires (I have Continental all seasons that came on the car, that I didn't exactly realize). Like to keep my storage locker full (TT wheels available). Having had RS4/ALMS wheels of the same general design on my TT I know how easy these are to curb, so an extra set plus summers still to kill (i.e. this weekend) what the hell. Using the OEM's for a dedicated winter set (don't trust the all seasons) and then the second set for future track rims. New 19" either Hartmann or OEM RS6+ titanium finish for everyday summer use.

Yep I'll be there. I will check them out, I have had the 9 spoke design on two Audi's now
and would like something different, and in particular different from every other RS6 in Chicago, but I tend to like OEM designs.
