I wouldn't touch hybrid turbos. When you think about it, they've never been tested, just put
together and installed on cars. Just give me straight KO4s, or another turbo larger than KO3s that have been proven to work. The only car that I've seen that runs well on hybrids is ohioko4s4.

either trading it off before it shows signs that there going out....
or going straight K04's all fromt CPT. Not sure if i can bring myself to spend another 5K on the car though. Not like the value's going up...

A hybrid has never been tested? They've been around for MANY years buddy, it's not a new concept
and i can give you well over 60 sets of hybrids working perfectly, from daily divers to race cars, K03/K04's to K04/24's.

Yeah, I understand that hybrids have been around for some time. I also worked for BW up until a few
months ago and knew some of the turbo engineers. Turbos are put through the ringer when tested. I'm not saying that hybrid KO4s are a waste, I just think they haven't been completely proven yet. As a percentage to the straight KO4s that have been installed, there have been more problems with hybrids. But then again, the KO3s were a disaster on the S4 which I was embarrassed about as an employee of BorgWarner and owning an S4. Not to mention that even as an insider, KO4s were still hard to get a hold of.
