2005 Director & Officer Elections


OVERVIEW
It is time to elect Chapter Directors for 2005. Once the nominations have been received, an electronic ballot will be posted on the web site. Those members that do not have Internet access may request a paper ballot by calling Marko at 630-440-6801.


ELECTION PROCESS
Directors are elected to a two year term. There is no limit on the number of terms a director may hold a position.

A director is required to be a current voting member of Audi Car Club North America (not associate members). The candidate must own an Audi.

Members of Audi Car Club North America in the Chicagoland area will be eligible to vote for the Chapter directors.

There are 12 director positions total and 7 are available. The elected directors will nominate and vote for the Officer positions. Traditionally, these positions are President, Vice President, Secretary and Treasurer.

The directors are responsible for voting on club issues. These generally pertain to the various events that the club sponsors. They are expected to attend regular meetings and participate in e-mail discussions. They will also be expected to volunteer for various committees and activities such as the holiday party, sponsorship, driving schools, autocrosses, Spring/Fall drives, picnics, web site, etc.


WHAT TO DO IF INTERESTED
If you're interested in becoming a director, please e-mail info@audichicago.org with a short bio on yourself describing your desire to hold a director position. This bio will be included on the voting ballot. The deadline for receiving nominations is November 4, 2005.

Voters will vote for a maximum of twelve directors from all of the nominations.


TIME FRAMES
Nominations are due by November 4, 2005.
Ballots will be sent to area members by November 13, 2005.
Votes must be received by November 21, 2005.
Winners will be announced no later than November 25, 2005.

 

I might have trouble getting my nomination in by Nov 4, 2003. 8-)

 

Seriously, I nominate you to head the proofreading committee.

The other error is that the length of term is TWO years. We must have looked at that document a half dozen times. I guess it just underscores our need for additional help.
