Hey ICONCLS, interesting RS4 pricing info, per our conversation at ABCC...
I'm in my PA hometown for a few days and stopped in to see a family friend who happens to own the local Audi/ VW/ Porsche/ BMW/ Subaru/ etc dealerships. Over lunch today I mentioned that there was a lot of concern about the anticipated pricing on the new RS4. When we got back to the dealership (driving a new BMW 530Xi 4wd wagon) he pulled out a letter from earlier in the week from AoA.
RS4, late spring delivery, $64,900 MSRP base price. Sounds like AoA heard the concerns about pricing in the $70's and got smart. So when do you order yours?
Interesting dealership. Small town in PA, about 100k residents, but in the showroom- New 911 Turbo, used 996 Turbo, M5, M3, S4 Cab. And all sold! When I was in at Fathers Day, there was a Carrera GT in the showroom Must be more money than I thought in this little town I grew up in. Wish some was mine. But I guess there's a cost of living difference between Chicago and NE PA.

If not.... there's another smaller town dealership that happens to have all of the same cars.. and all sold.... and yes, believe it not there is a lot of money up here (and many more people without it...... but WVM is about the only Audi dealer between Binghamton and Allentown.
The GT got sold to some guy in Philly (most likely a athlete if you ask me)
They don't even know if they're getting 1 RS4 and I'm 2nd on the list..... I doubt they're going to get 2....

grew up here. Bought my first 3 911's, a couple of BMW's and my first Audi here. Dealer and my father have been friends for 30 or 40 years, and the dealer's wife and my mom go back to high school. In fact my father's 5 series is in the shop there right now.
I heard the GT went to Philly. I could have driven it when it was in their showroom, but I was afraid to hurt it so I passed.
I see the PA inspection stickers on your windshield... you in the valley too?

So, you looking at an RS4 also? I don't want to get shafted further down the list if your all buddy buddy with the ower! 
That GT was awesome... but who would be dumb enough to buy one in NEPA and drive it on these roads?

yeah I'm diggin that price. hope it holds true.
apples to oranges but ~$15k under the base price of an M5 and 997 Carrera S is very reasonable... especially since you can also get a C6 Z06 for about the same money. Definitely makes the RS4 route a more compelling one.
