hey chicago - moving in a few weeks
where should an audi-drivin' 20something live? so far i'm looking lincoln park, old town and near north side. anything specific i should consider? looking for $1500ish w/ covered parking

Can't comment on the location cause I'm a suburbanite but it sounds....
.. like your looking in good spots. I know parking can be tough down there and I'm not sure if $1500 is going to get you much + parking but I'm sure someone will comment.

2nd. I was in bucktown, now in wicker park
I like it over here a lot. Lots to do, decent pricing, less frat guys than Lincoln Park, better value for your dollar, less congestion than LP, closer to the expressway, closer to downtown.
I live in wicker park and work 2 blocks north of the loop. I used to drive, but I take the bus now or the L or walk (2.2 miles) or ride a bike to work.
Also check out ukrainian village (south of wicker park).

LP might be tough to find something for that price with a parking space...
I live north of LP in lakeview aka wrigleyville...you can def find something for that price around here...you might not be able to find a garage spot for that, but you can def find something that's private but not covered...I have two tandem non-covered spots behind my place...
I would suggest that you check out the places you want to live...I can't stand the crowd (for the most part) in places like the gold coast, near north, & LP...the crowd is a little more laid back further north...
