Gotta share this I guess - Kinda dissapointed in my self... A jerkoff G35 owner made me lose my cool
I've been putting it out of my mind but might as well post this up.
I've been really working on being more level headed in recent years and acting more rational in heated situations.. but yesterday this dude made me lose it and I do admit I'm dissapointed in myself.
Ran into a black G35 coupe while driving Sunday afternoon. I passed the guy up casualy. About a minute later he comes and passes me by a bit aggressively so I think maybe we'll play around a bit. I look at the driver and I could see through the tinted windows that its kind of a punk looking guy.. sort of looking like a white wannabe thug with a slanted hat and all that. I don't mean to judge, but you know, sometimes people kinda look a certain way that makes you think that they could be a problem. Well, he switches lanes and I get behind him and he then guns it and totally cuts off a car to pass the one in front of him. I wasn't going to do the same maneuver so I waited till I had room. At this point he had kept accelerating and starts flashing his hazards at me.
I'm kind of perplexed at what he's actually thinking. He slows and I catch up to see maybe he'll line up like normal this time. He instead guns it right as I slow next to him and I see him point at his watch and flick me off as he pulls ahead. At this point yeah, he's kind of pissing me off. I get behind him and when there is room I manage to get next to him again and this time I don't wait and fly by him. I return the "bird" gesture and figure its over.
Well.. here's where it really begins. At the next intersection we are behind a good deal of traffic and this guy pulls up next to me.. his nose about at my rear door. I see him drop his window and lean over all the way out his PASSENGER side and while he's screaming and yelling something at me, he spits at me / my car. When I saw him doing this, I was making a gesture at him by pointing at my head, trying to communicate that he's a little nuts. But when the spit came... damn.. I just saw red.
I saw complete red.. threw it in reverse... heard the guy taunting me and telling me to pull off so we can "go". I said ****ing lets go you punk ***, or something to that effect and we end up pulling right into the middle wide median of the damn road and he gets out and comes at me. I throw off my sunglasses and get out and get right in his face. There is a few minutes of verbal exchanges during which I'm mostly asking him to "swing so I can bury his ***." He keeps talking and posing like he's a tough guy.. mutters something about how cheap my car is and how "its like only 20 thousand" acting like he's some ballar. He continues talking about how he "blew my *** away, etc." During most of this talking, he is basically backing away towards his car. I inform him that I think he has a severe mental problem and that he is such an obvious loser that I'm pretty sure he is barely affording his car.. (hence the need to put mine down so severely and being so scared to even properly race) Anyway, a few more requests for him to finally swing later, he mutters some other crap and gets back in his car and drives off.
I follow suit and that was pretty much the end of it.. but nevertheless, I immediately felt pretty dissapointed that this guy taunted me into this sort of reaction. I'm also glad I'm a bit older now.. because I really felt for a minute like I wanted to kill the guy or severely hurt him in the middle of that street. I managed to wait for him to at least make the first move, which I figured he wouldn't anyway.
Its probably a good thing that I'm not in my bulking phase at the gym at the current time either...
Still though, I guess the moral of the story is that there are a lot of crazies out on the road nowadays... and its probably better not to let them turn you into one.
Happy monday!
...don't get me wrong but you lost the second you engaged in this situation. I can feel that spring is uppon us because there is more and more situations like this one.
I guess I'm used to people usually being pretty cool on the street. This situation spilled over from perplexment, to annoyance.. to just stupidity.

I'm simply sorry for all those people with few mods trying to prove themselves that they drive racing car. Lat's face it...almost all of them are nothing but tricked out daily drivers.
It just reminds me about an accident from while back when I was in NY. I was driving with my friend in his F430 and one kid pulled up in tricked out brand new Subaru. For some reason this idiot tried to race with us. He lowered his window and asked if we want to race, then started call us names because we didn't even try. Just explain me what is going on inside kid's brains these days if they are trying to race Subaru agains F430? And I believe they will race even John Deere just to prove something ....but what is that? I don't know.
