Okay boys and girls!! Let's learn how to properly change a tire...
March 20, 2007 - 11:00 am - corner of Monroe and Dearborn
I spotted a silver C5 A6 with a flat tire and the driver, seated behind the steering wheel, talking on his cellular. As I get closer, I notice that there is the lug wrench lying on curb surrounded by five lug bolts! The driver had failed to raise the wheel using the jack and had removed all the lug bolts while the flat tire was still on the ground! Did he not think about the fact that, basically, only friction is holding the wheel assembly onto the hub?
This tire change could prove very entertaining, as well as potentially expensive!
