Default Looking for a shop to check out my chip

Anyone know of a good shop in the Madison/Milwaukee WI area?

I am not against making the trip to Chicago. I am not familiar with any shops in the Chicago area either

i guess it could be my turbo...

my chip doesn't seem to be functioning correctly.
but.. it could also be the turbo..

I guess I don't exactly know what is wrong with my car.

the turbo kicks in at arounnd 4-5k rpm.. where as it use to kick in at 2-3k rpm.
the check engine light is on.
the dealership said it was an alarm cause by the chip..( of course they would)

i should have it hooked up to a vag-com and see what it says.

any ideas?
obviously, i'm not familiar enough with the engine technology to troubleshoot this on my own

Default you need to find a reliable shop that does turbo work and get it checked out.

There is likely nothing wrong with your chip. Chips either work or don't for the most part, assuming it worked fine in the past.

you probably have a vacuum leak or a exhaust leak or an inlet hose leak or something.

Default could it be the clutch?

possibly an issue with the clutch slipping?

Default if the clutch were slipping, you would be driving, it would start excel, then as full boost hit

as you swung into boost, the clutch would start slipping and you would lose power.

Sounds like your power onset it later in the rpm range, correct? that doesn't sound like a slipping clutch really...

My guess is that your plumbing leak theory is probably correct.
