Default What swaybar links do you have?

If you still have the factory plastic ones in the rear, I wouldn't touch them. They usually get damaged when you try to unbolt them from the sway bar. If you have any other link you won't have this issue.

Otherwise it is very easy....just do it with the car on ramps or on the ground. If you jack it up and take off a wheel to get at it, you'll have loading on the sway bar and it will be a real bear.

Default Edit: There is no way my car will fit on ramps. Is it just more difficult if I jack up the rear?

The links are the ones that came with the H-Sport sways.

Default You are killing me.

First, I think Pete is thinking of a B5 and a B6 is different. Secondly, you have the stock links on your car. H-Sports don't come with new links at least not for a B6 that I have ever seen. If you use a wrench on the inside and a socket on the outside, you won't damage anything. The only real suck thing is that the lower mount for the sway bar end link is encased in rubber so it can be a PITA to pull it back to the hole you need to get it in since you will be fighting the rubber. If you want, you can jack the rear of the car by the bracket for the rear diff and then slide the ramps under the car and then lower the car onto the ramps.
