Default So I got my 1st every dyno pull today for my SRT4

I got 2 free dyno pulls today..

On a Mustang Dyno.

D.I.D Race Engineering Inc in Crest Hill IL had an open house today with free dyno pulls...

Anyway.. as some of you know, my car is still 100% stock except for motor mounts, spark plugs and spark plug wires (literally stock other than that)

..so I wanted to get a baseline to know if there are any improvements when I start to change things like the wastegate actuator and other misc. stuff people have mentioned.

BTW: This is my track SRT4

So I was very pleased to see 212 hp with 266 torque on my 2nd pull (1st pull was 210hp and not 100% warmed up yet)

hmmm - sounds like our little cars might be underrated from the factory

Default how so? they are rated at 230hp.. and it came back 212hp at the wheels. .lol

but aren't most turbo cars underrated these days?

..or do I have a 'factory freak' and didn't know it?

Did I mention how my car seemed to drive so much better AFTER the track last weekend?

Plus the only weight you have in the car is the wiper stalk.

Default um . . . cause most manufacturers list HP / TQ at the crank vs. at the wheels?

just a guess, and stuff.

Default lol.. weighed in at 2713, not sure a dyno would make a diff being stationary though..

does it really make a difference on a dyno when the car doesn't move and is strapped down?

..I honestly dunno the answer to that one..

Default o.k. what is the expected ratio from crank to wheel power anyway?

I expected it to be lower than rated at the factory but had no idea how much lower to expect it...

I was told to expect around 210hp at the wheels from the guys there who have dynoed and tuned SRT4s in the past so it was right in the range..

Default A bit. Although the big difference is if it was an uphill or downhill dyno or if it could create...

it's own headwind. Then of course you need to factor in any excessive gamma rays and then divide by the letter G, don't forget to carry the one.

I was just referring to the power to weight ratio.

Default I just would expect more than 18 horsepower difference is all

I have noticed mine runs a little stronger after beating on it as well. I don't know if its my imagination but it seems like it has an adaptive quality to it and stays in a much richer program or something.
