What was Janica saying? Mark White has beer for us? Good thing I had that Shelby!
Having said all that, I did very few burnouts with what seemed like an unusually high concentration of CHP's everywhere around the track and of course on the track premises but Stahlschmidt managed a few donuts as did Press. None recorded of course so they can post up and say I was lying about it!
The off-the-line acceleration wasn't too bad with a 3.55 rear end but the car did not seem all that fast all things considered. I'd say acceleration was on par with Press' 4.2, maybe a little quicker. The transmission did shift nicely with quick crisp shifts. I wish my old RS6 had the same shift habits. Fit and finish was ridiculously horrible with cheap materials and lousy ergonomics. The engine however sounded very nice with an open CAI and a decent exhaust note. It's clearly a one dimensional car with seating for two (although we hauled 5 people in it twice!). Boy do we get spoiled by Audi quality.
Had all sorts of people challenging me all weekend. I guess when you drive a car like that, everyone wants to race. Didn't take a single person up on a challenge.
