Default Pretty cool.....but do you really want an engine with a carburetor????

Wouldn't fuel injection and an ignition system without points and a distributor cap be a lot easier????

Default OMG, that's beautiful. I had a 914/6 waaaay back and loved it on the track...

Looks nicely set up without being total overkill. Change the exhaust and you might get away with driving it on the street.

Those PMO carbs are way better than the old Weber 40 IDA's. Nice suspension. Love the Gulf colors. But you'll probably need a tow vehicle.

Default Those PMO's have amazing throttle response and once set up right, will

be virtually trouble free. But they do suck fuel.

Default Carburetors...there are 2.

I don't need a computer to tune a car, I'm old school just like you Hollywood ;-)

Default No worries for me.

I might upgrade to electronic ignition, but carbs are easy. They just have lot's of little parts - no biggie.

Default IIRC, they handle beautifully.

A buddy had one back in the day and I was totally in love with it. His was that crazy electric green color.

Default Mine was signal orange. And yes they handle great, except

that the polar moment in a spin is a bit more abrupt than traditional front engine car. But lots of fun, and very light weight.

Default What was that wacky electric green color?

IIRC, he had a '73 or 74?

Of course he ended-up totalling the car, but it was a beauty.

I would love to find one just to play with. Not to track, but just to play with.
