Need someone to check out A4 for me...PLEASE?
Hey all, I've been lurking for a bit, and finally found a car I think I like. I was wondering if someone would be willing to go see it in person before I drive 8 hours to find out it is a POS? Here is the link to the car dealer:

Agreed. Market--such as it is--for 100K+ Audis is awfully thin. (Fast to his link)-->

Couple things...
You've already CARFAXed and done dmv.org?
If you want more than a visual inspection, what's the seller's policy on returns/mechanical inspections? (The ideal scenario is to get it to a trusted local tech here either pre-purchase or immediately post-purchase, if your purchase deal allows you to return within a short timeframe--as with Carmax purchases.)
What have they told you about it so far, and what are your concerns?

Well I bought a 99 A4 from a chicago area dealer. Not a screamin deal but a decent deal for a daily driver. Needs a little TLC, some cosmetic paint work, but other than that it seems a pretty good shape for that vintage. Needs timing and control arms done, which I can do myself.
Any suggestions as to where to get the timing/control arm parts?
Preferred vendors?
