Beware, the Season for Door Dings and Dents is upon us!
Shopping at the local shopping center I witnessed some of the most absolute atrocious holiday behavior in the parking lot. I saw people casually swing their car/RV and van doors into other peoples car doors. One Mercedes owner is going to have one hell of a body shop estimate today. Others are going to make the share owners of Dent Wizard very happy.

What always gets me...
...is how people who PAY to go to gyms and assorted workout sessions wouldn't THINK of parking anwhere but the clostest-to-the-Mall-door spot they can find, rather than opting for the farther out--but WAY safer--open spots. People are just weird.

Exactly. Same happened to me, a week into owning my Avant. Parked waaay out but stil lgot swiped.
The black mark buffed out but ever so slight crease is still there on the rear door and q-panel.
Nothing you can do about it. Just drive the damn car and own it - don't let the car own you!

I watched a car parallel park yesterday using the Braille method...
I was waiting for a friend near the Peninsula Hotel yesterday afternoon when I witnessed this horrific act.
A "gentleman" in a Ford Taurus decided he was going to parallel park in a place slightly larger than the length of his rep mobile. He proceeds to back to the place striking the front bumper of a BMW 5-series. He pulls forward slightly to only put the car into reverse and back into BMW again only to attempt to move the BMW rearward-that's great for the transmission. He pulls forward striking the car in front of him. He then put the car in reverse only to hit the BMW for a third time. Now he leaves his car with the rear bumper of his car firmly ensconced on the front bumper of the BMW!
On a separate matter, I witnessed a black B7 S4 circle the block numerous times, disregarding the stop sign on Rush and Superior. He almost struck pedestrians in the crosswalk during his careless violations. I guess more Audi drivers are coming from the BMW/MB gene pool of self-importance!
