On top of the crazy shooting story at NIU, my Metra train took out a car today right at my stop...
We were pulling up to my stop in Des Plaines and I felt the brakes come on a bit hard at the end. I've actually been in this exact situation before, at the same stop a few years ago. Anyway, all they told us was that one person was ejected from the car, and the other was crushed in the car and needed to be cut out. They wouldn't let us out for a few minutes and then told us we can't go south bound at all when we exit the train since the carnage was on the other side. Great stuff...
