FYI- Check your Illinois titles for errors. 3 out of 4 of mine are wrong...
Got my titles for the 911 and trailer back over the weekend (almost 8 weeks for the 911, 6 weeks for the trailer) and they're both wrong. So I looked at my X5 title and it's wrong too. At least the 528 is right.
Trailer has wrong spelling of city, street, and wrong zip.
911 has wrong city spelling, wrong street name, and my first name is spelled wrong.
X5 has misspelled street, and VIN is missing one character.
Called Springfield to ask WTF, and the lady said "Oh yea, since September we've seen about a 50% error rate on new titles issued." They even have an Error Department now to correct titles. She said that even though the people at the local motor vehicle offices type the info into the computer, when the paperwork gets to Springfield, it get's typed in a second time by subcontractors and that's where the errors are happening. Have to send the titles and registrations back to the Error Dept to be corrected.
