Default Props to Dan, Justin, and the Westmont Service guys......

.... Last Saturday morning I was out running errands in the A4 and needed fuel. No problem, I stopped to fill up and couldn't get the fuel door open. Tried the lock / unlock, used the key, all that crap, but no dice. Remembered seeing the manual release thing on my old A4 but I'll be damned if I can find it on the avant. Then read the manual that pointed me to the non-existent manual release - that's helpful, thanks Gunter.

So it's 11:45 and I'm at Rt83 and I55 with basically no fuel. Probably enough to get home but no more and since it's under warranty (and I'm lazy) I called Westmont figuring they were the closest. I called and spoke with Justin who told me to bring it right in after hearing my tale.

I felt better when Justin, Dan, or a tech couldn't find the manual release. They sent me on my way with a 2008 A4 2.0 S-line and said they would give me a call with an update. They ended up having to order a new actuator for the fuel door. I picked it up today and was chatting with Dan - I didn't realize he was on AW or that I had him as a student a couple years ago at a Laps event.... nice guy.

Overall, a very good dealer service experience. Cool guys, good communication, and I especially appreciated them taking me in late on a Saturday with no appointment. Nice work gents - Cheers!

Default Laurel has always been cool to me like that. I know some people have ripped them before

but I've had nothing but great service there.

Default Dan's always been good for us on the S4 and Jim's hooked us up with the A4.

Similar experience a few weeks ago when the S dumped power steering fluid all over the place at a parking garage in Oak Brook on a Saturday afternoon. I called Blake and he said bring it on in. Got a sweeet '08 3.2 A6 w/ 450 miles on the clock. Kinda changed the target a bit from a Q7 down the road... The steering line blew a seal and a few days later we were off.

Dan also haunts C class in our Auto-X's (thank God he put on those springs to get him out of B class, now if only Burkhardt would do something to his car!)

Default Let's just say that I'll respond "extremely satisfied" when I get the call....

.... wait, that doesn't sound right.
