I see the new A6 is going to have "- adaptive air suspension as an option (from 2005) "
that's 332 ft/lbs, apparently reached as low as 1400 rpm. That + variable height air suspension would make a nice new ar.
Now if only VAG could rethink their latest pricing strategy.....
Still, the blackened headlights and dual round tailpipes would point towards a swallowing up of portions of the allroad identity. The absence of avants may signal a push away from having vehicles that appear to be more utilitarian, but the lack of turbos would belie this.
Did anyone else notice that the famous tiptronic gate is absent from the center console? It appears that the chrome would clash with the subdued grayness and lack of balance that they are going for with the new dash layout. It appears as though their solution for keeping the driver from futzing with the NAV/radio system is to put the display completely out of arm's reach, and to use the "big ****" concept pioneered by BMW.
Maybe they'll fix this in the first "refresh" of the design. I know that this may grow on me, but I have a real negative gut reaction at the moment. It seems so inelegant compared to the current allroad interior. Kind of like a Chrysler mish-mash job, or a Bangle design.
